PROFESSIONNAL CAREER:

  • Country Manager of EE Black Ltd. an American construction group from 1998 to 2004.
  • Far East Sales Director of Hanomag AG, a German construction machinery manufacturer from 1985 to 1992.

As an entrepreneur, Habana established Equinet in 1992 undertaking the following business activities:

  • Construction and development of houses until 1995.
  • Production and marketing construction aggregates and ready mix concrete from 1995 to 2000.

With the improvement in information communication technology, Habana recognized the tremendous potential of providing qualified engineering support from the Philippines to various construction and engineering firms around the world. This prompted the re-establishment of Equinet in 2004.

General Manager, Filipino

Lito Barcela has more than 29 years of experience in construction detailing and has developed an expert competency in all the versions of AutoCAD during the last 20 years of his career from version 2.1 to AutoCAD 2010. Lito also directs the Equinet BIM Revit teams. He is an architect with international work experience.

PROFESSIONNAL CAREER:

Lito worked in Saudi Arabia for eight (8) years with Zamel-Turbag / Brown & Root (ZATBAR) from 1980 to 1988. ZATBAR was the main contractor of the Arabian American Oil Company (ARAMCO) and involved in various fields of construction in the oil and pipeline industry. He handles various fields of structural, electro/mechanical, instrumentation and architectural detailing.

He worked for E. E. Black Ltd. from 1989 to October 2004 and occupied various positions in detailing. He was promoted head of the AutoCAD/detailing department in 1994 and held that position until the time he left Black to join Equinet in 2004. The detailing department of EE Black handled all the AutoCAD shop drawing production development requirements for the Black group of companies in the United States and all over the Pacific. Black engaged in all types of construction and is the dominant General Contractor in the western pacific region. Black undertook work for the U.S. Department of Defense, NAVFAC and other private clients.


 
 

Philippine Engineering Firm Receives Award for Projects in Guam
A&E Equinet Support, Inc., a company that provides outsourced engineering services recently received two awards from the Guam Contractors Association and Dick Pacific Corporation in recognition of exemplary work performed as sub-consultant in two award winning projects; the Fena Water Treatment Plant Upgrade located at the US Naval Base, Sta Rita, Guam and the Guam High School construction located at the US Naval Hospital Compound.
